Herzogonaurach, Germany. Maty Campeonismo met with Rueben Ehizaguirre, singer of the popular Argentine folk group Los Nocheros. Mr. Ehizaguirre stated he supported Maty’s mission to stop war and said he will take the message back with him to Argentina.

Geneva, Switzerland. Maty Campeonismo met with Mr. David Winiger, Special Assistant to the Secretary-General on Sports for Development and Peace of the United Nations (Geneva). Maty and Mr. Winiger discussed the potential of sports for peace and Maty’s mission to outlaw war and resolve international conflicts with football matches. Mr. Winiger said that Make Goals Not War, “raises awareness about the fact that sports can do more than entertain people, sports can be more than just fun, and more than just big business. It can be used for so much more…and [Make Goals Not War] uses the opportunity of the World Cup to show to the world what else football can do.” Mr. Winiger added that he looked forward to “seeing the ball rolling.”
